So, Bumble, my bumble bee platy won't eat and always stays at the bottom hiding. I think she is intimidated by the bigger fish. She is kind of small. I just recently got her on Monday. I've seen her eat a little bit on the day I got her. I got her before she got fed at the store. I'm really worried. Also, she looks a little skinny to me, but I don't know if that is how she is supposed to look. Please help guys, I'm so worried. :(

I attached a photo of her.

Try to sink some fresh vegetables to the bottom of the tank. Try to put them in the area where the platy is hiding. Hopefully it will eat and become "big". :)

are you sure she is a she cos she looks like a he to me

Looks like a he alright

When I got two platies, one of them was way smaller. She used to hide a lot in the beginning too. She came out of it and is nearly as big as the other platy. They are skittish and when still young, hide most of the time.
If she eats a little, then give him/her  time.

males are smaller and less rounded. I've been worried about my male today as he's not eating much either and hiding out a bit too.
I was advised to more or less leave nature be. If he doesn't look sick and has no obvious injuries then he's getting enough from picking around in the gravel all day.

I'd say he's a boy and a young boy at that. He looks well - no obvious illness or injury so try not to worry too much

Speaking of platys I think I'm going to buy one or two of them to add to the tank in my sig. I hope that they will eat. ;)
