I think its a boy....females do not really have bristles.

How large is it. If its under two inches I'd say male, if over could be a female.

My female has small bristles so its hard to tell unless we know the size.

its probably about 2.5 inches

My guess would be female. By that size most males have longer and more bristles. Could be wrong, it does look like my female though.

Femalesdo have brisstles mainly around the edges of their mouths whereas males have them on top of the snout as well......

Hmmmm, I see a line of smaller bristles up it's snout as well.

At that size I'd go with an immature male but time will tell for sure

ive got a female BN that doesnt have even the slightest hint of bristles.

Hi yeh i has a source but ive forgotten it lol a few webs have had this on there though

Do remeber that bn under 2" you wont be able to sex as bn are one of they only fish to choose their gender when very young lol
