My blue rams, that I just got about 5 days ago, are breeding right now--I noticed the female cleaning off a flat rock that's in the tank and now they have laid some eggs are are still laying some--both the male and female are hanging around the rock. They are in a 58 gallon community tank with 7 cories, 2 other rams, 3 cherry barbs, 3 male guppies, 3 pearl gouramis, 2 baby guppies, and 8 flame tetras. Do the eggs have any chance or should I take them out and put the flat rock with the eggs in a 10 gallon that's the same temp (82F) but has a female betta and 2 ottos in it? Any info would be appreciated!! I don't even know how they can even breed--I read they have to be in soft water, and mine's pretty much neutral.
Someone on Yahoo Answers suggested putting the pair of Rams and the rock with the eggs into the 10 gallon and putting those bettas and ottos in the big tank. Should I do that? If I do that, should I turn off the filter in the 10 gallon and just put an air stone in? What should I do!?
