My Big Mistake, Red Algae

I've been at war for about 2 months now with red aglae, I found my weakness about 2 weeks ago A bad RO system. I changed water treatment system and the red algae was slowly dying off. Some may have already noticed my mistake, the dying part I let it die and I never removed it. I checked my readings yesterday because I got my first coral, and I had noticed the red algae that was dying was back 2 its dark red self. My readings showed high NO3 levels something I had always had 0 of, then it hit me.. they dying algae was feeding the algae that was dying lol, I hadnt thought of removing it once i found the answer.

I too have done this, with my 125. I was about to go on vacation so i cleaned the tank not thinking to fully remove the algae, so when i got back you couldnt even see into my tank it was so bad lol. Took me 3hrs to clean it up
