I just got a new dig camera so this is first time shots! not too good tho!

lol, sorry but yes they are....they seem to be nice looking bettas but it is impossible to tell....basically you are WAY too close to the fish whenyou are taking the picture and the camera cannot focus on the fish...backup a little and use the zoom function...also if your camera has a "macro mode" (usually the picture of a flower), use this as it is helpful for closer up shots (2-6 feet or so usually)....good luck and read your camera manual!!!
