My Bettas

My wife got a betta, and after a few days - I decided I had to get one as well Here is Constantine (her betta) and Darya (mine):

We are pretty sure that Constantine is a Veil Tail... Darya at the fish store was in a tank with about 50 Corydas and two other female bettas and they were listed simply as "Short tail Female Betta" Is she just some random betta? Sorry the pictures of her are kind of bad, she looooves to hate the camera

Thanks for the link, I'll definitely check it out. My wife absolutely adores Constantine, she spent hours looking for a Betta at the pet store and spotted him in the reflection of another Betta's cup - he was at the very back of four rows. I was surprised, he's a very tolerant fish - but I like the females better ha ha ha

They are beautiful! I absolutely LOVE Darya, she is such a cute chunky little gal!

Plakat is just the technical term for short-tail bettas... and she does indeed look like a plakat... so your store did a good job labeling her correctly!
