My betta's a fencerunner!

Beta's doing well in his new tank. I've got a 25W heater in there, but it's unplugged right now -- the water temp sits nicely around 78 F without it. (I'll need it when summer comes: my employer keeps the office like a meat locker.)

His fins (the color of a faded pair of blue jeans) caught my attention to begin with, but I bought him because he seemed so active even in his tiny bowl. In his 3-gallon tank, he reminds me of one of those dogs who can't help but run the fence every time someone or something comes by. It's hysterical -- he swims back and forth on one side of the tank for a while, then switches to another side...

I just love to hear about everyone's bettas little quirks! Thanks susan for telling us this story. Bettas are so so interesting you're right to be infatuated.
