My betta

Does anyone else experience this.... When you enter a room where your betta is if you call his name does he approach the glass and flip around? My fiance's betta does that. You can call his name and he responds. He loves having you near him and loves when you talk to him. Ow and eating..

hi , my betta used to come to the front of the tank when i stood infront of it
but never flipped about, sad he died about 3 weeks ago, i love bettas but darent get another, cause i,d hate to lose one again.

I'm sorry. So did ours about 2 weeks ago. Fred is a wonderful fish. He shows so much love. He has grown huge though. He is the biggest one we have had out of the three.

i saw some realy beautiful ones yesterday, and also the females first ones i,ve seen in years, i found this realy good fs out of town, i was tempted but
as i said its to sad when youm lose them, oh william should tell you about cycling the tank, could be the reason you lost yours,

I feel sorry for the Bettas in the stores, always couped up in the little bowls.

yesthe ones i saw the other day were all in little jars floating in tanks,
and all flaring up at one another would imagine this must realy stress them out,

Not sure about responding to names

But whenever I do water changes or need to put my hands into the tank, my betta always comes and swims in between my fingers, more than once I have almost sent him into the bucket through the syphon.

My betta always does that! When I come in the room and say "Hey Bubbles!" he swims over to me and is totally excited and same with whenever I talk to him!He's so cute!



On the replies: I know! At PetLand there are a ton of bettas all sitting there in those plastic picnic cups, so small that their tails are all bent and their bodies are slightly curved because they don't even fit! I tried complaining in suggestion cards, but it's not helping

My betta hovers and stares at me... like "grr... feed me..."



Those betta cups are mean, bettas are too cool for them. they could at least divide up a tank.
