This is day two from when I bought it home. I think it's quite settled to the new enviornment. I've put those pellets designed specificly for Bettas but it just swim pass right by them. Ok, so maybe my Betta is a little picky. Then I bought those little ghost shrimps and little gold fish. But my Betta isn't being that agressive to fishes smaller than itself as I've read and heard. Anyway, it's been two days and it just won't eat anything!

Please help! Thanks a million!

:X they don't?? I've brought 6 of each and now I have no use for them... I think I'll make a goldfish soup tonight >.<

but why not pellets...

P.S. I couldn't find bloodworm at my local pet store. is there any other choice?

If my betta's hungry enough, would it eat those pellets?

my goodness

look at the size of the bettas mouth, now look at the size of the goldfish...I bet the goldfish is bigger.

bettas sometimes take a while to get used to new surroundings and new food, keeep trying every day and soon he might realise it's food.

he killed one of those gohst shrimps just now. But he's chewing on the shell but now the meat...

Also he tried to eat one of those pellets unfortunately it was too big and he failed :(

how big is your betta? and how big is the pellet? have a look round your pet store and see what they have. there should be either frozen, live or freezedried bloodworms, daphnia or brine shrimp. if there isn't then you need a new lfs. ;)

my betta is just average size...It's just that when he tries to swallow the pellet, the pellet "runs" away from him... :( :(

THe only thing I've found in my pet store is dried small shrimps, not brine shrimps... there are other brand of pellets but they are all the same...

This morning it ate the fin of a goldfish and killed it... it must be hungry... :X

bettas usually take a few days to finally accept a new food. mine didnt, he ate it right of the bat, but that is unusual. it can take up to 5 days or the betta to finally eat. just keep feeding him the same food until he eats it. and dont worry about the betta starving. fish can go about 14 days without food!

when i saved my betta he was very distraught. u might want to try and get blood worms that is a good and heathy treat try flakes too. you should just try differnt things. experment dont worry. its gunna be ok.
