Okay, so I adopted three bettas from BettaBum and I am going to be getting them here in a couple of days. I had only one extra tank when BettaBum was advertising the rescue bettas but I went through the house and was able to find a vase (don't shoot me, it's huge!! Okay, not huge, but it holds a little more than a gallon) and a rubbermaid "underbed organizer" thing.
I have a cover that fits PERFECTLY over the top of the hole in the vase. It is just right to where air can easily get in, but the betta can't jump out. And I cut a rectanular slot (less than one inch tall by about 2-3 inches long) in the top of the Rubbermaid thing so that air can get in and I can feed the fish inside without having to lift the lid (and thereby moving the two tanks on top of it).
When it comes to water changes, the vase will be first, then the two tanks. And then the rubbermaid. Not that you care, just thought I'd tell ya.
So here's what my set up looks like, and when I get they guys here, I will post a picture with them all in their new homes!
I wrote on it how much each thing holds. And you can see my betta Draco swimming around in his happy home.
