I have a red betta in a 2.5 minibow tank with one fake plant and no filter. And I just looked at him and he has one shinny speckon him that looks like a ich cyst (or whatever it called) Should I wait and see if more of these shinny specks appear on him or should I treat him for ich?

At this point I would probably add a little salt first, rather than starting meds if you're not positive that it's ich.

Make sure it is aquarium salt, not table salt. I'm just saying because I know people have kiled their betta by making that mistake.

I'd just wait, and put a bit of salt in, many's the time I've been in a panic because one of them has some sand or something stuck to it.

Something wierd is going on with him. Now he is either sitting at the top or the bottom. And he looks really bloated and this morning his scales were sticking out but they aren't now. Is thier anything else I can give him for the possible constipation besides a vegtable? If not I will have to ask our neighbors if they have some.Oh and nevermind about the ich I found out it was just one of his bubbles that he blew that got stuck to him since he has been staying at the top.
