all day today my arrow crab has been really unactive and bearly even moved when i fed my fish. its just sitting there in a corner of my tank. i havent tested the water yet but the water is crystal clear and doesnt smell. everythin in the tank is doing well and the only additions lately were to new hermit crabs. is it possible its just old.......it is pretty big. any help will be great.

could be he's gettin old... have you noticed a marked change in his coloration recently? could be getting ready to molt ;)

his coloration doesnt seem to have changed and hes never molted b4. i had my skunk cleaner a shorter period of time and its already molted twice. it does seem like a possiblity though.

Mine sits under the rocks idle as can be. Hes been alive for more than a month being exactly the way you describe I think they pick through the sand and kind of just live off what they find in the spot they are in. They don't tend to be very active.

unfortunetly he just died a little bit ago :-(

mine was always pretty active especialy during feeding time. he always tried grab every bit he could but when he wasnt very concerned about food yesterday thats when i got worried. i might get another one sometime. not sure though.......

I've lost 2 to tank crashes when I was learning. Don't sweat it! :good: G/L with the next 1!
