My Aro Doesn't Have Whiskers

My silver aro doesnt have whiskers i noticed taht all the other silver arowana does. I was thinking it mitve lost it when i got it from the fish store...But don't they grow back? I had the aro for about more than half a year now.

The two most common causes for an arowana to lose its barbels are poor water quality and tank size being too small. Arowana barbels will grow back if the problem that caused them to degenerate is rectified quickly but if left too long it becomes permament.
