Ok first attempt at taking and posting photo's but here goes. Didn't realise inside of glass was so smeary so hopefully next lot will be better. :/ Plus I didn't take the photo lower down as I still have one of the doors to put on. :)

Second photo is closer to the real colour.

Nice tank. I think a black background would look better.

Where are the fish?

Excellent layout! Really nice tank!

I agree the black background look much better highlights the rocks more and as soon as you add the fish you'll notice it also highlights them too. Thats what i have done with mine.

Good job with the decor love the rocks did you get them from a local river or you buy them ?

Also what are the tank dimentions ? and what fish you planning on adding to it ?

Hi Cheffi

The tank looks great, your Africans are going to love it. IMO I don’t this cichlids and octopi get on all that well!!!

Good job keep the updates and pictures coming.

 That's only in there until I add the fish!!!

Unfortunately there's no way I can reverse the background now (which has black on the other side as there's no room to get behind it.

As tanks say's I'm going for Malawi's and the tank is approx 4' x 27.5" high x 18" deep and is 300 L = 80 uk Gallons.

I'm just waiting for my new eheim thermofilter to arrive next tuesday/wednesday then I'm going to start my fishless cycling. Thanks for your kind comments guys. Oh and the I bought the rocks.

I'm going to attempt to get the background off on you guys advice especially as several of the Malawi's I want are blue and will probably get lost against the blue background. I haven't got much room to move behind the tank and sure I read someone had attached their backing with spray adhesive onto the backing first. Can't work out how it will stick to the shiney backing but going to give it a go and work the old radiator paint roller over it to get it too stick.
