I took some pics of two of my 'reds' tonight. You may remember me mentioning a red plakat spawn before :p I think a few dozen of ya's have red plakats  Anyway, out of the entire spawn I got these two delicate lovelies  I've shown them before but the female looked so cute today (as usual) that I had to do a photo shoot for her and her brother..

Here's my female...(red spawn mind you!)...

look at that face  She's won a Reserve Best Of Show award AND she took first place in her class back in March

Those purdy blue eyes

And her brother, whom I adore but he's kinda shy...

And barely a flare  He's a wittle 2nd place winner, yes him is...yes him is...oh sorry

I'm taking both to show again next week and then I think I want to see what I would get if I put them together...
*I wonder....I wonder....I wonder....*

Thanks guys! And I am proud of her, she's such a mystery to me, which makes them both so alluring.... :shifty:
I'm a little nervous about the combo though, she's so feisty and he's so shy....hmmm...

They're both so gorgeous!! Kinda weird how two cellophanes kinda showed up out of nowhere, though

They are so pretty and stunning. I will be real upset of you if you didn't put them in the competition. Wait what! Let them in the competition. LOL    Don't think too much. LOL :kana: :kana: :kana:

Is it hard to find cellophane betta or what?

Kelly!! I found her pictures. The blue one that I told you she is only one of the red chilli sibling. She got a kink at her tail.

Her is her side view. This is so weird too. Only one is look like that out of the first red chilli batch. I don't know how she turn to blue. I already know something is not right when she is in the spawn. Her baby color is brown and other is yellow white transparent. I have no clue how she become.
Any clue about this?

I laugh, but you know it's true. Take my advice, after all, who saw the infinite wisdom in showing your females? :p

They are just beautiful. So, so lovely. And with a spawn, think of all the possibilities! I'm already seeing a green copperX....

I think you have a little postman betta jumping tank to tank over there Kelly ..yup..but he wasn't just delivering the "mail"

Those are cutie patootie's.

Prizm, juvenile bettas are typically kept together until they start picking on each other - this usually happens around 7-11 weeks of age. At that point, the agressive males are pulled and jarred. The females, however, can often live in communities through adulthood.
