My Angelfish has an orange eye....

Hi, i bought an angelfish the other day and its got an orange eye and the other one is normal white. Is this normal and safe for a fish to have an eye like this?

I noticed before that some of my angels that died also had orange eye's too like a slight bloody colour maybe?

there is no swelling etc.

To be honest blood shot eyes are not normal, did you get the angel from the same place as the rest, need to no water stats, plus size of tank.

you can get angels with orange eyes but if they have red in them then that sugests swelling in the brain or damage caused from either another fish or an ornament.

ok my water is zero for everything. he had the orange eye when i got him home and yes they were from the same place.

It sounds like a normal eye colour to me and as they came from the same shop then from the same spawn.
What nitrate level have you got from your tap water?

I have seem alot large angle fish with orange eye my LFS. Its probably just the species u got has it. As long he eat and attive with no sign of stress and illness you dont have to worry about it .
