its looked pale recently and stayed in a cave and now i think hes detached from the rock his mouth is wide open and i see a brown tear by his face and hes colapsed on himself urgent help needed!!!!!

Ben has a good starting point. Throw at us all the info you can as regards to the tank's equipment and water stats, let us know what you have in there fish and coral wise, the species of Anemone you have and how long you have had both the tank and the Nem. With all that information, we should be able to start offering help. Can you post pictures too? If so, it will let us work out how bad the brown tear is, as it sounds like oral disk damage, something that can be tricky to recover an Anemone from, especially if it's already bleached

orca tl550 1 light doesnt work for a week but looked ill before that ordered MH 150w 14k upgrade from standard to boyu 150l/h koralia nano power head and another standard one umm 30kg live rock = alot. phosphate and carbon in back sg 1.023 nitrates 10 amonnia 0 nitrites 0 water change weekly atm bi weekly temp 26C optimum for BTA i heard. supplementing tank with magnesum and calcium been adding nitrate minus bacteria bottle stuff feeding fish once a day corals once every 2days and anemone once a week with a bit of muscle

I hope this helps

Its not dead yet, tried removing with gloves and shrunk so thats a sign of life

a few things that i see reading that,

obviously the 1 light not working.

that korallia? is it protected in any way? could have been damaged by that

SG should be nearer to 1.026

Are you testting for clacium and magnesium aswel? or just supplimenting it?

30Kg of live rock in a a tank that size maybe stopping you getting any kind of decent flow.

its all built up against the back and the lfs supplys what at like sg 1.021 which is ludicrous hes never been near a powerhead im not testing the mag or calc just adding the simple instuctions i thought it would help my coraline algae to grow one powerhead is breaking the surface others pumping the rock and the other is skimming over the rock

the tank is 2year old not that i had it all that time the anemone is 3months

if your adding supplements you should also be testing, otherwise how do you know how much to add?

depending on what you have in there, the tank inhabitants may be using up very little of these elements and you wont know without testing. Theres no good just chucking a load in.

Test your water for:

calcium, mag and phosphates please

You should be doing a 25 litre water change every week - consider doing a 50% water change now and then test again, do not add any more supplements etc until we have a good idea of all your water stats

How often are you feeding your nem and with what?

He could be splitting because of the supplements, how long has he had the tear?

:fish:

ps and as asked above, what sort of nem is he?

Seffie, just thought I would let you know he said he feeds the Anemone once a week with a bit of muscle.

OK, for it to have bleached, it's stressed by something. Did this gash appear before or after the nem bleached? If it was after, you have an underlying problem. While the lights aren't quite good enough with one down, with one left (I think the 550 has two PC lights?) and fairly heavy feeds (for a BTA) you shouldn't find that an issue just yet, in another weeks time, maybe, but I wouldn't expect it to be an issue just yet...

We need Mg, Alk, Ca and Phosphate tests also. They are all important as you are supplementing Mg and Ca. If you weren't supplementing, I'd personally only have Phosphate on the list, but if you are supplementing according to manufacturer instructions without testing, it's highly likely that you have messed those levels up. Alk is also very important (probably more so that Ca actually) to any invert that does not build a "proper" skeleton, and hence you need to know what it's on especially if you have been upping Ca, but not Alk, since Alk is metabolised in proportion to Ca...

What salt brand does your LFS use? 1.021 is far too low, I'd consider changing salt RO suppliers, or better still, mixing your own salt... Your tanks salinity is OK, but would be better higher

All the best

thank you guys forbeing sooo helpful i think the phsphate levels are quite high coz ive had a bit of cyano

I'd get Phosphate, Magnesium, Alkalinity and Calcium checked also. Any of those being off could potentially cause Nem bleaching.

IMO, you shouldn't ever supplement anything you cannot test for, it's too risky and death by overdose is common amongst people that add supplements without tracking the levels...
