Yep, one of my females has given me 28 eggs. Could be more yet because she has laid them all in the java moss but im so happy about this.

been trying for 2 months and i figured they were too young cause the water changes werent going anything, even though i had upped them to 2 a day for the past 2 weeks. So i havent changed the water for a week and boom, eggs!

Anyone else bred Adolfoi before? If so, have you noticed how much bigger the eggs are than say C.aeneus or sterbai?

Exciting!!!! Congratulations on an early Christmas gift from the Adolfoi tribe!

nice one :)

ours are in a large community tank so their eggs never stand a chance.

If you have fry going in a few months, let me know ;)

Ok a quick update for you all....

got 35 eggs in total. Now, i didnt want the eggs eating and as i dont have a free safe tank at the moment for the eggs, i have put them in a floating hatchery. Now, get this. We are on day 2, the hatchery thing is one of the ones with 4 rows of 4 slits in the bottom. I have also rested the lid on the top so the apple snails cant get in. When i put them in there, i added 1ml (a pippet) full of Pimafix.

Yesterday, i changed the watery in the hatchery and added another 1ml of Pimafix

Today i have done the same, and not one egg has fungesed yet. I may be onto something here. As soon as they hatch they will be released into the tank theres no doubt about that. But at the moment, its all looking very good :)
