Waters clearing nicley now and im just waiting on next payday for more plants, also what other plants would you recomend for a low light situation like mine?

any feedback/criticism welcomed!

Have you done a fishless cycle ?? or at least used media from a well established tank ??

the tank has been running for 6 months, the filter was kept in tank water whilst i rescaped, levels are looking fine :)

Thanks for the concern though

this isnt common practice in most planted tanks anyway...the most popular method is a fish in with plant...the plants will use some of the ammonia as a nitrogen source and the rest is taken away by water changes

Thanks truck, my filter is cycled anyway, as my water change regime isnt as rigorous as some! i do 25% per week, im going to be sorting out my CO2 today going to use two bottles for some more flow :)

That looks pretty nice.
What are the plants that you have in there?

The dark gravel looks like this hermit crab sand they sell at one of my LFS's and have in every single tropical tank. I'm not surprised they do though, it looks really nice.

Well there's Java fern, anubia, swords and an unknown!

Im planning on more light, more co2, more plants and more ferts :D

Can anybody identify the stringy stuff on my anubia? looks like riccia from my old set up but everything was cleaned :S

Her name is Monique :)

Aren't you going to add a little more water...?

A couple of inches will effectively give you 1/5 more volume of water...

More water is to go in :)

Thanks for the praise, thats one of around 200pics i took with various settings ect!

The brick is a shamless theft from that tank... i love it lol

Possibaly, they were sold as ''Copper Harelquins'' but in this months PFK there are identical fish referd to as false harlequins.

They are lovely fish, i plan to have another 3-4 and some shrimp :)

Ive won a 3foot tank on ebay, so il be making a bigger version of this scape :D will use 3-4 bricks and play sand... :D i need to buy more plants now then :)
