What do you think about this set up? This is the tank that tried to do a cycle on me after the power outage. I did a water change and added a full dose of bio-spira. While I was going to do a water change, I added a few more plants and some slate and petrified wood pieces. I originally wanted to add a big piece of drift wood, but it is going to have to soak longer (it kept floating on me).

Right now, there are four gouramis, 3 zebra danios, and one dalmation in it. I'd like to add two spotted pictus to it and some more gouramis. Ideas or thoughts on that?

i would discourage pictus's. they need a lot fo free space for swimming. they need to be kept in at least groups of 3 preferably more.

Looks good but I would add a nice shool of like 6-9 tetras to fill out the extra space in your tank. Then add your large piece of driftwood for a centre piece. I'm sure it will look great.
Just wondering, did you get that tank at Walmart by chance? Just looks amazingly similar to my 55g walmart tank. :shifty:

Probably originally came from Wal-mart. I got it from a yard sale for $20. Got the plants from two other people for free. Bought the petrified wood and slate and the gravel. Filter was given to me by one of the ones with all the plants.

My hubby really likes the spotted pictus. We had two in there (before redecorating and before the cycling due to the power outage), but they died when the power went off.

I want to add a few more gouramis for sure. Was thinking of more danios too. Maybe a few large livebearers.
