so yeah its a pretty new tank cyclin right now, im putting a small shoal of danios in there for sure but what other fish would you recommend that are nice and striking, like plecs corys tetras or anything like that.

depending on the height of the tank, angle fish are always nice...

Congo tetra are really pretty fish that you could consider. Also you could get a Pitbull Pleco.
