This is my 180 litre tank, it's been running for around 1 week now, i have 5 zebra danios in there, they are the best fish to cycle with as they seem to live through anything.

I'm planning on adding quite a few new fish to the tank in the next 2-3 weeks.

Here's the tank:

I decided to use sand instead of gravel as i thought it would be better, i am going to put some more plants in there, also i have got quite a bit of artificial grass to go in the tank.

Looks nice alright!! :)

The sand is definately a good choice, you will notice that the bubbles on the glass will not reappear after your rub them off!! Just remember to minimise your contact with the tank water coz you can introduce in chemicals and bacteria!! (or so the books say!)

If/when you get a background on the tank it will come to life that bit more!! :)

Best of luck with it! Dont add in any more fish until the cycle is finished (when Ammonia and nitrite go to Zero and do not reappear...if they do reappear you are not fully cycled...so stick with it) The last thing you want happening is to add in fish and have a ammonia or nitrite spike and those new fish dying in the process...take it slow and things will be very very stable for you in the long run.
