My 135G Stocking - Opinions?

yea been there, they have loads of stock and good quality but the larger 1's are really expensive, whereas at MA there £10 for any

Yeah :( Its about this time I start regretting not getting that extra width lol

haha, what are the dimensions? you might not get away with a Lima but one of the bigger Pimelodus might work, maybe Pimelodus maculatus or Pimelodus blochii.

Hack - Oh really? Prices seemed pretty good to me but then again in Hull we dont have a great selection of rare or large fish like that. My local MA rarely gets interesting stuff in but is still the best near me just unfortunate they dont keep fish to my taste - ie rare and american in regular stock.

Kizno - Saw these awesome Pimelodus sp.Blue at Pier (seeing a pattern here) and they were awesome like a neon tetra with whiskers :p I can get my hands on a big P.Ornatus but I dont know really as they are a bit of a gregarious fish and no way could I keep a group.

Just wanted to say thankyou to everyone so far :) Your all saying what I was thinking which is good as I was worried I had already gone totally overboard.

Never heard of anything like them but sound stunning. Yeah good point about the Ornatus but from what ive heard they do fine solo aswell so you might get away with it. Thats me just about out of ideas for catfish but what about a big group of Corys or Brochis maybe a bit smaller than you was looking for but i cant think of anything much more active and a big shoal would be a great way to finish of the tank IMO.

Yep, some chunky ~10cm Brochis multiradiatus or splendens might fit the bill. My group of B. multiradiatus seem to be enjoying some midwater current surfing since I moved them to the Rio240, perhaps because they now do not have to compete with the boisterous barilius at that level.

Wills, would you say any particular area of your tank was relatively bare of fish? I would guess at the upper levels, but I could be way off the mark .

I do quite like Brochis actually - little piggies :)

Yes Goat my top level is very sparse but finding upper water Americans apart from hatchets and needle Gars is a joke lol.

For the top what about something like Belonesox belizanus, there central american. The only problem i could see is apparently there extreamly hard to get of live foods, but still a fish to consider.

Uaru also spend most of their time in the upper layers. But to fit one in your tank, you'd need to make some space methinks.
