Here is a pic of my 10 gallon I took. The water level is low, because it is cycling, so i am trying to create as much "splash" and thereofre oxygen content. And is it a little cloudy from a bacteria bloom.

It is soon (hopefully) to be home to a dwarf gourami, some neon tetras, and a couple ottos (or possibly pygmy cories).

Anyways...what do you think of the tank?

Is it one of those LED moonlights i've seen?

Also where is your local fish shop? the entire contents of your tank is available at my lfs.....and im talking exactly the same by the looks of things lol.

They also sell the LED Moonlight kits there....

Ben

Thank you for the compliments. Yes, the moonlight is an LED one., but I made it instead of buying one. I bought some LEDs and wired them myself. I have a bunch of LEDs so if anyone is interested in me making one for them send me a message and we can work something out.

The plants in the back were one of those value packs from petsmart and the red ones in front are from walmart. The background is from another LFS and the gravel is from petco. I bought the heater new off of ebay. Everything in there is from different LFS and LPS but it isnt anything unusual

bunji - I am from the US, so I doubt its a LFS you are familiar with, but they all seem to carry similar stuff.

buggy - Thats rock, not wood, and it is from the LFS. It is actualyl more or a maroon color, but it showed up brownish in the picture. I think it is slate? I think you are right that it is a little sparse on plants. I want to either buy or make a cave, and use it to block some of the heater from view in the corner. I think if I did that on the right side, and add some more plants to the left it should fill out nicely.

Oh yeah, that is stone and if you were wondering it's called flagstone. We have a bunch of it out in our back yard around our pond.
How are you planning on making the the cave (e.g. materials)? I think you're right, once you get it all situated and get fish in it, you should post some pics. I'll nominate your tank if you do.

buggy - thanks for the pre-nomination :D I have read about alot of people haveing success with pvc pipe and then using aquarium sealant to glue rocks onto it. Im not sure exactly what shape it should go in (a little bend, or just a regular cave). I might even just use rock, and no pvc pipe, Im not sure yet. Trial and error might just be the key.

I think that a round med-dark grey rock would look the best to make the cave with though.
