Hey, hope you're well.

I have a 60g fish tank with 6 peacock cichlids, 10 raonbow fish, 1 red tail shark and 3 pictus catfish. The question is, could I potentially add a musk Turtle to this tank? Or would it bite the other fish or are they too fast for it? If I am to get a Turtle, it will be a small one(young), most likely.

If a turtle can catch a fish, it will eat that fish...I wouldn't

Even if its bigger? The peacocks and rainbows are about 5cm (they're young), the red tail is 3 inches and the pictus are roughly 2 inches prob 2 and a half.

Maybe keep an eye out for free or cheap tanks on local marketplaces or facebook. I hope you find something suitable, even though they eat everything- turtles are interesting and fun to have. Good luck! ?

I had the same experience, red slider in a 10G, feasted upon my neons and other fish, some bigger than the turtle

Alright guys, thanks for the advice.

A baby musk turtle, in a full 60 gallon, is likely to drown, fish or no fish.
