Wow, lucky find! We don't get many morels in my immediate area. I typically get chanterelles, boletes, and the occasional lobster mushroom.

Mrs. was just talking about cutting them in half, ( they are hollow ) and stuffing them with cream cheese and chives… we are having people over for cards tonight, not sure how we would cook them for that… normally we just fry most wild mushrooms in butter, but she may bake these???

Love Morels. I sauté in butter, shallots, Worcestershire and brandy and then smother a N.Y. strip steak with it.

Was out fencing for the lambs today, found a Shaggy Mane… been wet, often mushrooms send out a “scout” and if everything is ok, they start popping out in numbers… will be keeping an eye out for them
