Murky Water...

Hey Guys...
My water keeps getting a murky green color. I have dual Aqua Clear 300 on my 55G. I just bought a wet/dry with protein skimmer for $150. Will this tremendously help my water problem? I know that I need more LR too. I'm currently sitting at 20lb. Thanks guys...

Also, I noticed that there is a tube coming off of the Protein Skimmer. Where does that connect??? Thanks!

that tube coming off the protein skimmer is where the air is drawn in.

(make sure to keep that above the water line )

yup you're right, keep that outta the water.

So you are still cycling? I am still trying to catch up with the new folk after my absence.

It is just one of the many algae blooms you will encounter. Try ditching the lights for a day or two. This helps much in the beginning.
