I have a 10 gallon tank with 4 midsize Goldfish and I recently added 2 Rosy Reds and 1 Fathead minnow. They were doing fine until the next day when I woke up and saw my Golds hovering over something and nibbling. They were eating my Fathead Minnow! I feed my Goldfish 3 times a day so it's not like they were starving. I had also recieved an Endlers Guppy and put him with my Goldfish because he was getting picked on by the Mosquito fish. They also killed him. What does this mean?

Unfortunately, goldfish will eat anything that fits in their mouths. Not because they are murderers, but because they are scavengers, and curious to boot.

Also, goldfish need a lot of room to grow and swim. it is recommended that each goldfish have a minimum of 10 gallons each. So, with 4 goldfish in a 10-gallon tank, things are a bit crowded... which doesn't leave much room for the minnows or endlers to hide or get away from the bigger, curious goldfish.

Hope that helps.
