Anyone have experience with multiple CAE's in one tank. I added on this weekend to my 36gal. because my rubberlipped is not doing anything to the algae in my driftwood or palstic plants. I also have one in my sons 6gal which is going to start feeleing a bit cramped as he is now about 1.5 - 2 in. Will he be welcomed in the 36gal. with the other hoover?

BTW, I dont know why CAE get such a bad rap. Mine kick ass.

The name is very misleading,as it won't eat algae or at least not much they prefer the fish food you put in everyday!! They are also very very agressive when bigger they will kill each other then they will find a lovely cave and kill anything that goes in it. I've known one of these to kill a large goby and a keyhole cichlid. I don't recommend them to anyone. they also grow very large very quickly. We bought a tiny one form the local petshop within a year its was about 5 inches long and still growing!! Take it back Quick!!

Wow, both of mine are excellent algae eaters. The 2" CAE I added to my 36gal a couple of days ago has put a big dent in my algae build up. The even smaller one I have in the 6gal works tirelessly on the algae. He is however agressive. He will chase the sword around often.
