Mudskippers need a species tank designed with more land than water as they spend about 2/3 of the time on land. A good tight fitting cover to keep the humidity high in the tank is essential.

how big they get? Size depends on species, generally between 6 and 8 inches.

what they eat? Small live foods like crickets and mealworms are best.

what SG? SG is best kept at around 1.010

how many can i have in a 1.5ft tank? None, the minimum i'd recomend would be a 3 foot tank with 2 foot of land and 1 foot of water around 4 inches deep for 3 mudskippers.

there about a 1" muddskipper at the lfs.
I am planning on keeping it in the 1.5 ft for about half a year, not longer, mayb e abit shorter. that would be alright wouldnt it? hes got heaps of land and mud i made myself.

Mud you made your self? its dirt and water!

But no a 1.5 foot tank isnt a good idea, they need room to move in order to grow well

.....yeah whats your point?
dirt plus water = mud... whats your point lol.

Hes only staying in there for a couple of months.
He seems fine so far. jumping from rock to rock

Why do you bother asking advise if you are just going to do what you want anyway?

either way man, he was living in a tank bout 30cms long.
I am going to get a bigger tank for him, but for now i think he will be better off in mine.
I want your advise, there is move land than water. but for now he will have to bare with what he has, i am sure he thinks its better than being lonesome in a 30 cm tank, dont you think?
i just fed him some brine shrimp. I havent even had in for an hour and hes eating alot. he looks really skinny, they werent looking after him. I had to buy him.

Ok now hes got another 6 inches to move. Congradulations. :- How big of a tank are you going to get? I would recommend a 55 at least

i aint even gonna bother. If your gonna be like that dont write in my thread.
either way, i think he is better off with 6" more than less. you people are forgetting, hes only just 1.5".
I am getting a bigger tank when he gets bigger. he gots some growing he can do in that tank first, and i dont have the money right now.

keep your smart comments to yourself. didnt ask for them here.
