havnt got a clue whats goin on, iv gave my tank a realy good goin over last weekend with my syphon... got all the cr*p out of my gravel an everythin (or so i thouhgt :X )

today i decide to do a shift around as iv brought some more rainbow rock, gave it a good scrub then dicded to tackle the tank (had to build myself upto it because i recently had a rec clawed crab and have images of it grabbin my finger an me screamin like the big girl i am :/ ) so out come all the plants one by one... then i moved the rocks and the marble statue an all of a sudden i couldnt see my hand in the tank!!! its went realy cloudy!!! loads of desbrise floating around and what looks to be dust! its not a bactiria bloom as my tank is cycled.. and i know not to go too wild with my syphon (i learned my lesson last time :S )

so what is it? i dont over feed.. i cant belive how dirty my tank has gotten within a week... its never been like this before!

help? :-(

If it was clear before you started moving things around.....you may just want to wait a while for it to settle....I am sure all is fine....Good luck

Hi nightlife20 :)

When you do your weekly vacuum, do you move the rocks and other decorations?

If not, the dirt somehow gets underneath everything. Then, when you do move things, you get a big surprise!

It's the same with the plants. You can't get too close to them when you clean or you're apt to cut their roots, so the dirt accumulates around them.

The filter will remove most of the dirt that is suspended in the water now and the rest will settle. You can remove that next time.

When you do your regular cleaning, it's a good idea to move some of the rocks and decorations each time. Just shift them over a bit, clean where they were and put them back. (Just like cleaning under the couch! ;) )

yup i did all this in my big water change... normaly when i do a water change i shift where the plants are, u know a change round... but iv never seen so much cr*ap and my plec come on mate how long are u tryin to get ur poop??? it was wrapped around my bogwood a couple of time's i had to break it with the syphon to get it to unlatch!!!
