hi
i have some mts in my tank
everyone on here says are good if you keep the numbers down
how are they good

They eat algae and detris while not eating healthy, living plants (generally).

they move around in the substrate stopping gas pockets etc. from forming, they eat debris ,algae etc. aswel. so they are great IMO.

:good:

And...they are very nocturnal so you never see them at all until after the tank and room lights have gone out. They are very beneficial tankmates for your fish. :good:

Dont mean to be stupid but what is an MTS?

The most common use for the initials "MTS" is "Multiple Tank Syndrome", a disorder which affects a large percentage of serious fish owners. It starts with only 1 tank and night sweats and continuous hand wringing and ends with at least 5 tanks in your house full of fish.

The other "MTS" is "Malaysian Trumpet Snails" which is the topic of this thread. These are small livebearing snails with a trumpet/spiral like shell. :good:
