wellll, apparently the boy that begged me to take him home two days ago succeeded. i mean, how can you *not* take home such a pretty face? i thought he was a massive-finned lavender-and-white Butterfly, i was off a bit. his body's lavender, the beginnings of his fins are a nice dark purplish blue that slowly get to be semi-transparent. he's got pretty orchid calico marks over his fins as well. his fins are long and thin, very long and very thin. he's got a very regal look about him; he doesn't demand the attention like Donny does, not does he explode with happiness when he gets it. he kind of floats there, goes 'oh, hello there.' when he sees me and goes about exploring his very tiny tank.
since it's cheaper, i'm getting a plain 5 gallon and dividing it i'll make my own mesh-and-wood cover and put it under my window (i know, no direct light, that's why the aluminum foil is there!) it'll have nice rocks, lots of silk plants, two caves (one per Betta) and be filtered by a sponge-filter that's powered by an air pump. sound good?
oh, the new boy needs a name. any suggestions? =) he just won't tell me his name, the little bug!
