Mr. Luna enjoying his retirement ♡
It's time to replace his "hammock."

He looks pretty old, but next time I give him a blood worm I'll try to get a small video!

He's 3yrs old. He is going blind. I keep his water clean, and he is able to go after blood worms if I put them in his line of sight. Mr. Luna had a very large fin display when I got him.
What do you suggest I do for my elderly betta?

Does he seem to be in pain? If you are asking if you should euthanize him or not, I can’t tell you. That is a decision you must make.

Just keep the water clean. And help him eat of you can. He should be fine for a little while

That wasn't my suggestion at all.
I just wanted to share how comfy he is on his pothos "hammocks."
Even though he is three, he appears to enjoy himself, gets excited when I sing his favorite song, and is not in any visible pain. In my experience, long finned betta have difficulty supporting their fins as they age..

I think I posted before when I thought he wasn't doing well because he couldn't see his food. I started having to supervise to make sure he ate. Then I got the fish that needed bloodworms, so Luna got them, and he improved. A Lot. But I still have to supervise. This also cuts down on waste from over feeding..
I wish I could windex his poor little blurry eyes!
I love my Looney Tooney lalalaaalalaaaala

Is it just me, or does he have fin rot?
I'm sorry, I never really responded to your post. I meant what should I do if he does have fin rot? I am genuinely curious? Because he is so old, it's hard to tell. He also has scales that change color. I was advised not to use bettafix.
I'm thinking of moving him back into his regular tank. That will cause him to swim around more and I can see how his fins are really looking. I think they are just old and thin. I don't know I am just happy he is alive. If he does pass I think it would be nice if he was on his leaf bed and not on the bottom. Sweet baby Luna.
