Moving The Clam

i have a clam at the bottom of the tank in the coral sand and yesterday i bought a long tentacle plate coral i think it is and i was wondering if moving the clam onto some rock higher in the tank will harm it because the coral i bought opened up bigger than i thought and dont know if the tentacles will sting it.

Depends what type of clam it is. Some are only really happy on the substrate. I know Derasa clams like to be on the sand...can't remember for the others

Croceas prefer rocks. Maxximas can go either way, and squamosa also can go either way
