I've searched the cycling information but can't seem to find the answer to my question so I thought I'd try here and see if anyone could give me any advice.
I have a cycled tank now. I will soon be moving to another state and the move requires an 8 hour drive by car. Is there any way that I can move my filter media without loosing my beneficial bacterial and having to start my cycle all over again? I know that I need to keep the filter wet, but I also believe that I must keep the bacteria oxygenated as well. I can't think of any way to do this in the car.
Am I correct in thinking I need to keep it oxgenated? Can anyone give me any idea of how to do it while on the road?
