I was wondering if anyone knows how I could transport my fish..we are thinking of moving to Alaska and I want to take my fish with us..

you could overnight them like the online fish stores do however that would cost a ton of money

Get hold of a large polystyrene box (your LFS should haveone) line it with newspaper, add a layer of polysyrene chips. bag you fish in fish bags about a third full of water and make sure you trap lots of air before closing. put this bag in another bag upside-down and seal that bag firmly. pack the fish in the box and surround them with more polysyrene chips then close up the box. they can be transported like this for upto 36 hours or so without too many problems.

That's how they're normally transported to stores as well. So long as the trip is not too bumpy or there are extreme shifts in temperature, they ought to be alright.

Well they will have to fly or go by barge. the barge is 4 days so that wouldn't work would it??I could check on over night and see if it would be just as cheap as to replace all of them. thank you everyone
