So, I have my six little Cory fry and I'm wondering how big they should be before I take them out of the fry tank and put them in my 29-gallon. They're about 2cm long (one or two are about 1.5cm long). If they're not big enough yet, how big should they before I move 'em?

Thanks!

Depends on the other inhabitants of the tank they are being moved to. I had the unpleasant opportunity to watch 3 albino aeneus be attacked by, of all things, guppies. Armored cats or not, if it looks small enough to be a food item, the other fish will try to eat it. Let them spend the little bit of extra time in the safety of the fry tank until you are sure they won't be viewed as an appetizer.

Hi lizard :)

I agree with fishdudein. Just take your time.

Another thing to worry about, while they are still small, is that they could get sucked into the filter. They are still young and will continue to benefit from daily water changes and extra feedings while they are in their own tank too. :D
