How easy would it be to move a 10g nano reef tank 3 hours away from here? Im thinking of starteing one, but i am moveing at the end of next year, so i dont want to get into this project and have to abandon it a year later.

IMO it wouldnt be a massive issue to move

You will only be able to house 1 -2 fish anyway so should mostly be corals & 3 hours aint a long journy

Just plan ahead

Yea, i wasn't planning on many fish, just unsure about about what corals are going to be okay with minimum water, and which arnt.

bag all the livestock, place in foam box and away you go,
5 gal 25kio salt buckets/tubs for your water ,

Agreed, not that hard. Ive transported fish, coral and liverock over what must have been 6+ hours at the minimum.

Bag them up well, with plenty of air in the bags, (more air in the bags the better, water only needs to generoulsy cover the creatures (fish) and 3/4 + air in the remaining portion of the bag is critical for more oxygen).

Use SW-damp newspaper to wrapped your coral in, and for the case of safety, indivdually wrap different sp.

Wrapped the bags in dry newspaper, store snugly in a foam box (your LFS should give them away) and drive away! :D
