Hello all, I'm back after a couple months of living in suitcases, backpacks and boxes. Finally moved in our new house last week and ready to get back to building a nice tank!

The fishes in my 10 gallons didn't enjoy the ride as much though. The plan was to move out of a condo, then temporarly move in my gf's aunt's empty place while we were waiting for the house. So all in all, we were away 6 weeks.

I thought I made a decent job moving the tank and fish without too much damage...but maybe not either. I lost all but 1 fish :( My theory is that my WCMM's died one by one from stress caused by constant bullying from one of the minnows. The oto's all died of unknown causes (one every week)... But they weren't the same after the move. I could never find the body of one of them either...

So here I am now with one bully WCMM in a 10 gallons and an anubia plant with quite a bit of algea built on some leaves. Now what? Upgrade to a bigger tank and start off fresh or begin a new stocking for my 10 gallons?

I have room for a larger tank now, but the first months in a house are quite expensive, so maybe I should wait a little. Not sure exactly what i'm asking for here, but just wanted to share where I was at! I know I can find plenty of stocking ideas for a 10 gallons in here and the decision to upgrade or not depends a lot of how much I'm ready to invest, but if you still have some suggestions, go ahead and make my day! :)

Guppies, mollies, platies, and tetras all look good in a small-ish tank. Although, guppies and tetras do like to school with other fish and tetras can be quite nippy. I have no real idea what a WCMM is, so I can't help you there. If you want to add something to the bottom, get either a very fine gravel or sand for the floor and pygmy cories are adorable and help keep the tank clean.

WCMM's are White Cloud Mountain Minnows. Usually a temperate water fish, but sold to me as tropicals back in my newbie days (still a newbie, but a newbie who has read a lot about fish now) :)

I'm thinking about turning it into a betta tank with a few compatible tank mates...so guppies are out of the question, but there are still many options. As for pygmy cories, i've tried to find some for weeks, but nobody in my area seemed to have them :(
