move pregnant mother

each time my pregnant platy is about to explode and give birth, i move her to my 10g.
however i just did this and the next day she looked ALOT thinner, so i knew she had her babies. however there is no fry.....
i have gravel so i even stirred up the gravel and moved the decorations but nothing......
what oculd have happened.
u think she ate all her babies over night?

i doubt it, its a really old weak filter, and its never happened before

How many fry does she usually give birth to? It could be that she's eaten them all, especially if she stayed in there all night. Did you move her the same way you have before? Have there been recent changes to the fry tank setup?
