I have had this neon in QT fir about 3-4 weeks due to a spot in his lip that looked like an injury. I have had neons with lip lumps before but this one was different. It has grown in last several days to what’s in pic. It evidentially is contagious because another neon I have in QT for tail issue now has a lump too. Forgive me for poor quality of pic as I have Fungus Cure in tank. Lump isn’t fuzzy. It looks like a big lump of skin or a bubble. Any deas? @Colin_T ?

It looks like that possible virus that's been causing neons to get the white lump on the mouth. I say possible virus because it's unknown what causes it. I assume it's a virus because it doesn't grow like bacteria or fungus. It's not a normal common fish disease so you get to experiment with it

Hah! You know I already surgically removed one but I’m afraid of what might come out of this one. Eeeww! ?

It will be interesting to find out because this is appearing on more and more neons lately and with a positive diagnosis we can at least say it's this and you do this, or there is nothing you can do.

Good on you for taking the initiative and taking the biopsy
