Mottled Clarias

I've got a 18 inch mottled Clarias walking catfish. He's anabsolute beauty. Had him about 3 months and he feeds really well and swims to the top for prawns and pellets etc

How big do these fellas grow. The link on this website says 15.5 inches which doesn't seem rihgt and I've seen mention of 40 inches which I hope is wrong!!!

any body had a big one of these guys and can recommend a couple of house mates for him

I would say about just over 2 feet. Maybe smaller. But I've seen pictures of a 70cm one.

As for tank mates, you can put American cichlids, other catfish of some sorts, silver dollars, tall fish. Try not put any bottom feeders in.

Keep a very secure cover on as these are very strong fish and if thier water conditions arent right or they dont like them, they just 'walk' out.
