I was wondering if it's safe to put a bucket of water outside until you get mosquito larve in it, rinse them in clean water and feed them to your betta?
see what i mean with my english i undarstand a lot but not enought GRRRRR but it sound good mosquito larvaje mean the little black eggs they put on top of water??? or when they bornIt's perfectly fine and even good because the larvae are rich in iron which is good for your fish. You just have to know how to collect and feed them right. I do this and its easy and painless. Set out a bucket or small pan with standing water in it somewhere where the misquito can get to it but out of the rain and sun. When you finally do get some larvae in it you can use a turkey baster to suck them up and put them all in a small jar. Once you get them all you can bring it inside and siphon some of the water out(being sure not to get any larvae with it) until you have about a centimeter of water in it, or if you prefer none but i think a little water is better, set in freezer for a few hours and u should be good to go, you can set the jar out in the sun to thaw out the water and put the larvae in a new jar with fresh water from the tap. Then you can feed the larvae to your betta. I find that the betta especially likes them for some reason. Hope this helps
