Mosquito Larva

Is it okay to feed livebearers mosquito larva?
i fed them last year and they engulfed them like crazy. Only thing was 2 of them died the next morning -__-

Was it perhaps due to overfeed or something else?

would u guys recommend it?

It shouldn't be a problem. Where did you get the larvae?

mine love it and go mad and never dony any harm.

if they get over feed on it they will stop and then eat more when they want it the only problem is when they pupate into fly's befor being eaten as then bug you for days then!!!!

lol they are from my outside pond.
If i take a net and just scoop without any intention of catching any, i will at least end up with a hundred.

Maybe i should catch all of them and put them in freezer so i can feed them over long canada winter.
Will that be okay? (or should i kill them and dry them and then freeze?)

freezing then is not a problem unless their is someone in the family who will not let you......

hmmm i just hope they dun turn into powders when i dry them.
