More Sarasa Comet And Fancy Eggs Now Fry

Hi all me and the missus was just checking the turtles in the pond and giving them a clean and their shells had eggs on them again lol so ive got them off and pulled out the 2 water soldier plants and they where covered in them i think we got about 300 ish off alltogether lol i also stripped 2 male fancy's a female comet and a female white goldfish so lets see what happens lol

so i have destroyed 2 massive water soldiers but there was 2 decent sized off shoots too so its not all bad i have 5 now from 3 lol

day 2 no wigglers yet lol so hopefully tomorrow we might have some fingers crossed

oh im guessing water soldiers are those large funky plants there? where do you buy those from...i love them!!! never seen them for sale here..are they floating plants or do they sink??

i got them off freecycle someone was having a pond plant clearout so i got them lol , ive never seen them forsale either
yeah they float for a certian time through the year then sinkfrom around now to spring i think something like that lol

they have some good spikes running down them though sort of like aloe plants

i have just had 2 off shoots i took off when taking the eggs off
i will see when they off shoot again it shouldn't be long
i bet postage could be alot lol

just found some on ebay..guy will post out to here, £2,95 for 5 big ones!!!! have asked him how big is big lol so gonna go for them...yipee!

thats a good find and price
they do get quite big about 2.5ft across and the same high if not bigger lol the person i got them off had some corkers in her pond and they settle well too so in no time they will be off shooting ive only had mine about a month and two full off shoots and a couple just starting

ive got fry now they hatched lastnight this morng time there is hundreds of them lol im uplaoding pics as we speak but they might be abit rubbish so i appologise in advance for that lol

wow they are so cute!!!! my water soldiers arrived this morning, ended up getting 5 for £6 including postage to belgium....bargin! they are covered in little jelly like balls...how do you tell the difference between snail eggs and fish eggs?? they look to big to be snail eggs but too long to be fish eggs? still unsure whether to scrub them before putting them in mty tanks/ponds

goldfish eggs are about 2mm and fairly hard snail eggs are like a jelly and are laid about 6mm in like a worm sort of shape if that makes sense lol

Ive got even more eggs today my brooklime and parrots feather is covered in them so they are all in 2 poly boxes at the mo that will take the count up to about 400 fish when/if they hatch lol
