As I look at him more, I've decided that I dont think he's a white on his body. I think his normal color needs to come back still.....I hope

I've been trying to do things to make him *more* comfertable. Its very hard for me to make a betta happy, because he's not very.......entusiastic as my gouamis. You can usally tell when one of my gouramis thinks he's living the high life! B)

I think he's just lovely the way he is!

Honestly, I have one that has a body color about the same color. A light peachy pink. He also has blue and red on his fins, just in a different configuration. Then I have a Plakat that looks very similar to you Veil here in coloration AND pattern.

What makes you think, though, that it's not his natural color, and that he'll color up more? I don't say that to be mean or offensive. I'm just curious.

Well, its just how you can see alittle red shining through. But maybe your right. maybe he is a peachy color. Thats cool. I was just kinda thinging it was because of malnuishment and wrong treatment, streesful life

Mabe it is his natural color.......

PS, will his fins ever open up more?

They should. They look pretty good now, though. Not clamped. Just restful.

Try holding up a small mirror beside the tank where he can see. That should get him all excited. Also, some Bettas (like my little peach one) love to flare at pens that are pointed at them.

I was writing a letter to my penpal today and I showed my betta my pen! I was LOL so hard because he folowed that pen all around the side of the glass! I think is so funny you happen to mention it the very same day I found it out for myself! Lol!

I found it out for myself much the same way.

I was making labels for my fry's jars, and Narcissus suddenly started flaring wildly at my pen. Narcissus, who had never flared before a day in his life, was suddenly going mad over my pen. Took me a moment to realize what he was flaring at, though.
