More Light Please

i just upgraded to a rena aqualife 120cm long 60cm deep tank, lights that come with it was 4 T8 bulbs. not very good for corals. did buy a aquaone mh light but didnt fit on to tank with surpports. cant have it on wall or ceiling. brought a TMC aqualife 500, LFS said it would boost the output up. not sure my self. can anyone let me know what else i do. totally thicko only been in to the hobby 6 months
