The stripey ones this time - Botia Striata.

Got 3 today for the 4ft community tank.

Seem to be getting along well with the clowns and all the other fish in there. I've also added a load of plants, a piece of bogwood and rearranged the decor after a big water change.

Tank is now very active, nobody is hiding in the corner any more. Clowns seem to have gotten over their shyness and hopefully will start clicking soon.


Also I got a bargain at the LFS - a small acrylic hexagonal tank which will be Sonny & Cher's home when it's cleaned and a glass tank 19''x12''x10'' which will be a quarantine / hospital tank for a tenner! They were in the back yard outside the shop full of yukky rainwater and gunk. Busy evening for me I think!

Bleeding STUPID fish.
When I got home from work this evening I found 2 of the little lovelies had jumped out through a space that doesn't exist and dried out on top of the plastic cover under the lights.
So now I only have 1 stripey loach. Presumably the intelligent one.

Well, I got 2 more and they've survived. Their names are "Einstein" (the original one), Stephen Hawkings and Miss Lintell. Coz they're all smart enough to stay in the water!!! (Miss Lintell is a teacher at my daughter's school who apparently is clever coz she can fix the printer!!)
