I know, I know...you all are probably sick of seeing my horse pictures by now, but I have more. :p I just wanted to share a few more, but these aren't of my Minis...these are bigger horses. In some cases, a lot bigger. :)

First off, a Halflinger Cross Pony (Just barely, he's 14.2 :p ) This is Applebee:

(Those were taken by my best friend, who has better camera skills then me)

A horsey eye Shot (I'm proud of this one):

And finally, Goldie, our Belgian Mare that we use for Equestrian Vaulting.

For those of you who don't know what that is, you can go to www.americanvaulting.org to find out more. :D

Most of the pictures are made smaller so it's not a killer for dial-uppers...but I have them in bigger size if you absolutely want to see them.

Thanks for looking!

Are we allowed to nominate horses for POTM? If we are I nom the 3rd pic of Applebee - gorgeous!

Actually they are all lovely I just like that photo.

That Fjord pony is cool looking and that vaulting stuff is wild! You actually do that!? You have more guts than me! I'd be afraid of broken bones! LOL

I asked Angel Lady early, and she said it's okay to post them here and nominate them, and one of mine got nominated for last month so I'm guessing it is. Thanks so much for the nomination, I really wasn't expecting any! Apples will be flattered. :D Maybe I'll even get a second, and Apples can be in his first competition ever.

And Thanks Puffer_Freak! I didn't take the first two, which is why they are probably better, but thanks for the compliment. I am lucky, I know...I just wish more people could keep horses, because I've spoken to so many who want to, but don't have the time or the space. :/

Edit: Yep, Ladyhawke, I do vaulting. It actually is the safest equestrian sport, in terms of injury stats. One of the first things they treach you is how to fall correctly, so you don't hurt yourself. Falling correctly is drilled into you. :X And then they start you at at walk, then trot, then canter, so you get to gradually work up to the harder levels. The members of our team, range from walk to Canter, so we have a good variety. I, personally, am at Canter. Also, we have a competition coming up this weekend, so I can bring back some pictures of it, and also of our horses doing their job there, if you all want. :)

 I didn't even know there was such a thing and had to google it! That's so wild! I would like to see some pics - that'd be awesome.

Okay, this weekend I will take some pictures. They may not be that good, since the horses are almost always moving, but I'll try. I'll also take some pictures of the people on our team. :D And our other 2 horse, Murphy and Cosby. Oooh, and I believe I forgot to mention Apples is a little vaulting horse too, for our smaller trot kids. He is just the cutest thing when he's in the ring, so I'll try for piccies of that too.

I'll second that nomination!! What beauties. I love horses.

Can't wait until next spring. We are going to be selling our house and plan on buying around 40-50 acres. Then I will be able to have some. I have already been eyeing some. LOL. Went to the fair a couple of weeks ago and saw a "Medicine Hat" Appaloosa that was absolutely gorgeous. I want one. I have never seen a horse like that before. $15,000 though for a Gelding. :(

Awww, thanks guys for the nominations! Apples and I are totally thrilled. :D

Good luck with your horses, kimbowee. That set-up sounds great. And yeah, I love Appies...I have always wanted one, but never really found one that was a match. I'll have to keep looking... :shifty:

Lovely pictures, and very cute ponies :D

Vaulting is a bit too scary for me  I just do the showjumping and cross country. Plus my horse would probably buck and rear if i tried to use him for vaulting, he's a bit tempermental!

kimbowee - Good Luck with your horses! I'd love that much space to keep horses :D Im planning on getting one more (all i have space/time/money for) in a couple of years. A really big one this time, either black or Appaloosa :D Though, as im planning to go over to Ireland to get it i will probably get a black one as i dont think they have much in the way of appaloosas lol!

Will definately keep an eye out for the vaulting pics!

Thanks Annastasia & Jessica!

I am definitely looking forward to it. We have been looking at land in Michigan. Not sure if we are going to build a new house or buy something with a house already on it. I am determined to have everything up and running so I can get my horses within a year of moving. We are putting the finishing touches on this house over the winter so its ready in the spring for a quick sale.
